STEPS TO APPLY FOR THE BOARD

NOTICE:

You will need to disclose any conflicts of interest or criminal background
Step 1:
Reach out to the USHRAB Executive Secretary to learn more about the expectations and responsibilities
Contact the Executive Secretary for expectations and responsibilities
Reach out to the USHRAB Executive Secretary to learn more about the expectations and responsibilities that come with being a USHRAB board member. The Executive Secretary will arrange for you to meet with current board members and support staff so that you can ask questions and learn about board service. Since USHRAB board members serve 3-year terms with the option to renew, seats are not usually open, but the Secretary can let you know when the next seat will open.
Step 2:
Find a board and position you’re interested in
To do so, go to List of Boards and Commissions or browse the List of Current Openings.
Filter boards: Sort and filter boards according to your interest area(s) or by keyword.
Learn about a board & position: Select the specific board to see details, or a specific board seat to see requirements for that position to determine if you qualify and are interested in it.
Keep in mind not all boards are open for public applications. Many board members are selected through direct appointment/nomination by government officials or boards of directors. You will see this noted in the Board Information and Details page, when you click on a current board or commission.
Step 3:
Create an account or log in to an existing account
Click the LOGIN button in the top right of the page.
This website uses UtahID to manage user accounts. When you click LOGIN, you will be prompted to either login with an existing account or create a new one. If you have previously interacted with a state agency/website, there is a good chance you already have a UtahID account. And if you don’t, it’s easy to create a new one.
If you do not have a Utah ID account (new applicants):
You must create one in order to apply. Click the LOGIN button and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account.
If you already have a Utah ID (returning applicants):
Log in with your existing Utah ID after clicking the LOGIN button. You might need to enter a verification code, which will be sent to your email. If you do not remember your password, click on “Forgot password?” from the UtahID login screen.
If you are already logged in to your UtahID account when you click the LOGIN button:
You will automatically login to the website without any additional action required.
If you need assistance with your account, click the “Get Help” or “Contact” links from the UtahID login page, or click this link
